2012 Women Contractor/Growth Master Award Presented to FCi Federal

U.S Women’s Chamber recognizes significant growth in the government sector

The U.S. Women’s Chamber of Commerce has announced Sharon D. Virts, president of FCI Federal, as the winner of its 2012 Women Contractor/Growth Master Award. The Growth Master Award recognizes women executives who have achieved significant growth in the government sector over the last three years and was presented to Virts-Mozer on March 27 at the 8th annual Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) National Council Meeting.

“The administrative services FCi Federal provides to federal agencies are not a sideline service or a simple matter of staff augmentation, it’s the core of our business” said Virts. “Therefore, our guiding philosophy has been focused on customers, teamwork and employee empowerment. This is what I believe has propelled our growth, especially when nearly all of our contracts are performance-based.”

With over 25 years of experience in the federal market, Virts decided to take FCi Federal in a new strategic direction in 2005, focusing on direct contractual support to the government with adjudication support, records management, and other administrative services. FCi Federal has experienced a strong rate of retention in its government contracts, as well as an accelerated increase in new contract awards. As a result, the company has grown substantially in revenue and employment. Today, the company employs more than 1300 people in 35 states and two territories. The sole source of revenue for FCi Federal is federal contracts. Revenues for FCi Federal have increased to $33.7 million in 2011 with projected 2012 revenue at $70M.
